One Kenya Alliance (OKA) principal signed their coalition agreement today ahead of the 2022 general election.

Currently, OKA has four principals led by the wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Gideon Moi (KANU), Martha Karua (Narc Kenya), Cyrus Jirongo (UDP).

OKA received other new players who also signed the agreement including Farmers Party led by IRUNGU Nyakera and Movement for Democracy and Growth Party (MDGP) led by Ugenya MP David Ochieng.

During the event, Cyrus Jirongo, who is contesting for the Kakamega gubernatorial seat under the United Democratic Party (UDP) said,

“As OKA, it is time to put pen to paper in a document that will most likely produce the next President of Kenya; we must have a government that will serve the people of Kenya by the end of this year.”

While giving his speech, KANU Boss Gideon Moi added that,

“Having signed a coalition agreement today as OKA, we have closed one chapter of our journey and opened another one; our priority is to change and transform the lives of our people,”

After signing the deal, Kalonzo Musyoka reiterated that they were open to reaching out to other like-minded leaders of different political formations to strengthen the OKA team.

“We have had serious introspection and debate concerning the prevailing political situation in our country. We do not doubt that the nation is more important than us. We have made sacrifices before and are ready to make more sacrifices,”

OKA team is expected to announce their flagbearer.
