Celebrated KBC’s Swahili News Anchor Resigns for Standard Media Group

Barely two months after the national broadcaster rebranded, in a colorful ceremony that saw them bring on board young and seasoned veteran anchors to spruce up the bulletins streamed in high definition, the broadcaster has lost its celebrated Swahili News anchor and Presenter Suleiman Yeri, who is now heading for the Mombasa road based media house.

Suleiman Yeri who joined KBC from Standard Media Group in 2018, was working as a news Anchor Cum reporter under the TV desk output and also co-hosted the Friday morning Kudzacha show alongside Kadzo Mungela.

Speaking to thenewbrief.co.ke on his departure Suleiman Yeri said that he was seeking for new challenge and that he was also happy returning to his former employer.

“Everything that has a beginning has an end, its time to go for a new challenge and furthermore for personal career growth” he said.

Suleiman Yeri is well known for his mastery of Swahili and reporting skills which have seen him bloom while working with the government owned broadcaster {KBC}

He has a rich career portfolio having worked as Swahili news presenter at Iqra FM in 2013-2015 and Mombasa based Radio Salaam in the subsequent year.

He then moved to Radio Maisha before the end of 2016 to 2018 from where he made the big move to KBC where he has been working to date as News Anchor and reporter under TV news desk output.

His last working day at KBC will be on September 30,
