Kajiado Residents Call For BBI Sensitization As Campaigns In Kiamakoma Comes To A Halt

Kajiado County residents are rooting for civic education on the Building Bridges Initiative report and translation of the document into local dialects to reach the masses. 

residents especially women say politicians have done their part and they now need to scrutinize the report in a language they understand before the much anticipated referendum .

The Residents who convened in Kajiado Central for a pro-BBI campaign meeting where calls abounded on the need to have the documents translated into local dialects to reach semi-literate or illiterate public. 

Kajiado County BBI coordinator Peter Mositet said plans are underway to ensure the document is translated by experts into Maasai dialect.

Meanwhile a section of West Pokot professionals are calling on the relevant institutions and authorities to ensure that regions in the country and especially the North rift gets their boundaries mapped out to end the frequent boundary conflicts that have left the region dragging behind.

UDA Supporters from ukambani Region have publicly denounced their Support for the Party’s Machakos Senatorial By-elections candidate Urbanus Muthama Ngengele. Receiving the defectors Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka expressed confidence in the party’s candidate Agnes Kavindu.

Elsewhere campaigns for the Kiamokama Ward by-election in Nyaribari Masaba Kisii County ended yesterday. Kisii County Governor James Ongwae and Senator Prof. Sam Ongeri led the ODM party brigade on a mission to lure voters in support of their candidate Malaki Matara.
