Just less than 24 hours after government check unit impounded 3 vehicles which were alleged being used in the campaign caravan of Maendeleo Chap Chap candidate in the Machakos by-election, a family in Machakos town, Machakos town constituency was shocked after County Askaris broke their house leaving their house belongings outside.
One Janet Mbesa wife to Mbesa Mutala who has been arrested by the county Askaris couldn’t hold her tears when she found her belongings littered all over the compound.
“I had left my house locked and I had the keys, I wondered how they accessed my house and removed all my belongings outside”, cried Janet.
“This isn’t the first time for the County inspectorate officers to break into our house and damaged our property. Whenever Alfred Mutua, sees he is losing he always sends his officers to intimidate us”, she added.
Hopeless Janet is pleading to know the whereabouts of her husband who is in the hands of Machakos County inspectorate officers.
Mutala who is a social media influencer and a blog has been seen active in support of GDDP candidate in the coming by-election.
On his side, Simeon Kioko Kitheka, GDDP candidate in the Machakos by-election said that Machakos County government has started to intimidate officers in his office.
“We won’t relent till Mbesa is free and I warn Machakos County government to respect the will of the people and not to force residents to support them”,added Kitheka.
